What tip percentage should I leave?
In the US, 15–20% is standard for sit-down restaurants. 10% is acceptable for counter service. In the UK, 10–12.5% is typical. In Australia and New Zealand, tipping is not expected but 10% is appreciated for excellent service.
How is the tip calculated?
Tip amount = Bill × (Tip% ÷ 100). Total per person = (Bill + Tip) ÷ Number of people. The calculator rounds to 2 decimal places.
